Who is this role for?

This is a good role for anyone looking to work in a fun but challenging, high-performing, quickly growing startup. However, the people who will get the most value out of this role are future founders.

As a marketing manager, you will...

• See everything the founders see from hiring to building a product that is used by millions of people to fundraising. Jobs working in big tech companies, consulting, or investment banking are only tangentially relevant to founding yourself. There is no better way to learn how to start a high-growth company than seeing the behind-the-scenes of a high-growth startup.
• Be able to build the financial cushion to found in the future since we believe in compensating our team well.
• Get mentorship and future introductions to investors and potentially angel investments from the Throne’s founders.

Obviously, we want to see you stay at Throne for as long as possible, however, we understand that if we want a team of smart and ambitious people, then some will eventually start their own companies. Recommended reading: Paypal Mafia.

What you will work on

You will work directly with the three founders on the most pressing challenges to the business. Roles will be extremely varied as we are a quickly growing startup, however here is a sample:

• Social Media: help define the long-term social media strategy
• Assist in executing a variety of marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, trial, and distribution, including the day-to-day execution across marketing campaigns, promotions, and sales support
• Support the development and execution of sales and marketing materials, adapting scopes, timelines, and deliverables as needed for maximum benefit
• Be responsible for the delivery of effective marketing programs that achieve company and client objectives
